   The Holistic Ukulele Songwriter Retreat is a revolutionary new approach to music instruction and songwriting. We combine easy to follow Ukulele instruction with elements of meditation and fundamental music theory to help you intuitively connect with your instrument and express the song that is in your heart.


    This unique retreat will nurture and stretch your untapped potential to grow and enhance your ukulele and songwriting skills. On this 3 day journey, you'll be taken through Haji's renowned step-by-step methodology that addresses the mind, body, and soul to help you gain a deeper relationship with your Ukulele, songwriting, and self!


       No experience no problem. 95% of participants had never played Ukulele or writien a song. Due to the encouragement of the group and safespace created by Haji,  each participant is nurtured at their own pace to develop their relationship with the process of songwriritng.  Come enjoy a refreshing and life-changing experience of connection and camaraderie with other songwriters just like you!

This retreat is structured to give you the necessary tools for developing your personal Affirmation, composing on the easy to play ukulele, and creating your song with the use of the Holistic songwriting method.    Haji Basim is the lead instructor of The Holistic Method: A meditative approach to music instruction, teaching musicians and true beginners how to intuitively align with their instruments.  For the past decade, Haji has been delivering The Holistic Method to multigenerational audiences who enthusiastically desire to bring more of their personality into their play. Currently, Haji shares his connected practice worldwide via workshops, private instruction and online lessons for Guitar, Ukulele, and Voice.

All meals will be catered by an on-site chef that prepares each meal using fresh,  locally-sourced produce that will properly nourish the body. Vegetarian options provided.



Participants are responsible for getting to the retreat center, but once you arrive to the retreat center, everything is taken care of for you.

NO! We are going to focus on a new creations.

Do I keep the rights to my songs?

YES, of course! You keep 100% of the songs you write at the retreat.


Are special dietary needs accommodated?

YES, Whenever possible.


How old do I have to be to participate?

16 and up

Is this retreat geared for beginners?

YES! This retreat was made with the ultimate beginner in mind as well as for seasoned Ukulele players and songwriters.
